Welcome To Cherry Myay College
Cherry Myay College (CMC) is a community-based institution founded in 2017 by a group of young and dedicated educators, community leaders and scholarship alumni from Shan State. Located in Taunggyi, Southern Shan State, it is a member of Myint-mo Education Foundation (MEF) academies in five states (Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin and Shan) of Myanmar. It is a higher education institution (HEI) that offers a two-year diploma program in Social and Development Studies. Cherry Myay College boasts of a diverse and inclusive student body represented by many ethnicities in states and regions of Myanmar. About one-third of CMC’s total student population is from Shan State. Cherry Myay College’s excellence in teaching, curriculum, student service learning, facilities and scholarship opportunities makes it more attractive to many young people from marginalized communities in Myanmar.

Our Programs
Cherry Myay College offers a two-year Diploma Program in Social and Development Studies for students from diverse backgrounds, regions and states of Myanmar.
In the two-year academic Program, Cherry Myay College (CMC) is conducting some essential courses with some applicable and contextual subjects for students who come from diverse backgrounds from different parts of Myanmar, in response to the needs and requirements of their communities. Cherry Myay College mainly offers English courses, Computer courses, Social Science, Learning Skills, Academic Research, Organizational Development, Social Entrepreneurship, and Community Development. Furthermore, the CMC conducts each course with different related subjects to the students according to the two-year academic time frame. At Cherry Myay Academy, we also provide the certificate program to the students. This program aims to provide youths with quality education through hands-on learning experiences, creating service-learning opportunities, and building required skills for their lives and communities. This program lasted for five months, i.e., 3-months intensive learning studies in physical classes and 2-months learning and giving services to the local community. In this certificate program, students have to learn English, Computer, Learning Skills, Community Development, Life Skills, TOT, and Social Enterprise. Besides, students get the opportunities of learning and achieving knowledge from inviting guest speaker sessions, and giving services to the local community. This certificate program will generally provide learners with the required knowledge and skills for their further studies and career pathways.
