Tun Aung
Tun Aung, President of Cherry Myay Academy (CMA) and Executive Member of Myint-mo Education Foundation (MEF), brings a wealth of experience to his leadership roles. Prior to his tenure at CMA and MEF, Tun Aung served as an English Language Instructor at the Inle Heritage Hospitality Vocational Training Center (IHHVTC) and as a Project Director for the English Access Microscholarship Program at the U.S. Embassy. Committed to youth education and community development, Tun Aung focuses on cultivating the skills and abilities necessary for positive societal impact. In addition to his presidential duties, he imparts knowledge on Social Enterprise, a certified course by Payap University in Chiang Mai, Thailand, showcasing his dedication to providing a comprehensive and globally recognized education. Tun Aung's multifaceted expertise and commitment make him a driving force in shaping the future of CMA and contributing to the broader educational initiatives championed by MEF.
Nang Kyi Htay
Nang Kyi Htay, the Academic Dean and Senior English Language Teacher at Cherry Myay Academy in Taunggyi, is a dedicated educator with a profound commitment to excellence. A graduate of the University of Taunggyi, she earned a Master's Degree in English in 2009 and holds certification in TKT (Cambridge). With over ten years of teaching experience, Nang Kyi Htay imparts her expertise in English Language to both young and adult learners. Beyond the classroom, she extends her passion for teaching by conducting teacher training for aspiring pre-service and in-service educators. Nang Kyi Htay's unwavering dedication to continuous professional development reflects her commitment to staying abreast of evolving teaching methodologies and acquiring new skills, ensuring a dynamic and enriching educational experience for her students at Cherry Myay Academy.
Aung Kyaw Moe
Aung Kyaw Moe, a distinguished professional, graduated from the Liberal Arts Program (LAP) at Myanmar Institute of Theology (MIT), specializing in "Business Studies" and earned an additional specialization in "English" from Taunggyi University. Complementing his academic achievements, he holds diplomas in "Business Law," "Business Management," and "Financial Accounting." Aung Kyaw Moe further expanded his expertise through a short-term training program in "Social Enterprise" at Payap University, Thailand. Notably, he was selected as a participant in the YSEALI Regional Workshop held in Hanoi, Vietnam, showcasing his commitment to regional collaboration. A recipient of the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (UGRAD) scholarship, he pursued studies at California State University, Monterey Bay. Aung Kyaw Moe's passion lies in working with youth from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, particularly those seeking to broaden their educational networks. Eager to contribute his enthusiasm and up-to-date skills, he actively engages with community initiatives and collaborative teams.
Myo Min Htet
Myo Min Htet serves as the dedicated Student Affairs Coordinator at Cherry Myay Academy, playing a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the student experience. In his capacity as a key coordinator for student affairs, Myo Min Htet collaborates closely with the Cherry Myay Academy Student Council, ensuring seamless execution of various student activities. As an esteemed alumnus of Cherry Myay Academy, he takes on the responsibility of fortifying the alumni network, fostering connections and engagement. Myo Min Htet is fueled by a profound passion for working with both current students and alumni, driven by a shared commitment to youth development within the educational community.
Nang Wint War Htun
Nang Wint War Htun, armed with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, boasts an impressive 16-year tenure in teaching computer courses, showcasing her dedication to the dynamic field of information technology. Driven by a fervent passion for skillful IT proficiency and an unwavering commitment to excellence and continuous learning, she holds the esteemed ITPEC (Information Technology Passport Examination for ASEAN and Plus Seven Countries) certification, attesting to her mastery of essential IT knowledge and skills. Nang Wint War Htun is adept at creating interactive teaching experiences that not only impart theoretical knowledge but also equip students with valuable practical skills applicable to both their academic journey and future careers. Her unique ability to empower individuals with essential digital skills sets her apart, making her an invaluable asset to the educational landscape at Cherry Myay Academy.
Chue Thet Lae
Chue Thet Lae, a dedicated educator, has been teaching Social Science at CMA since 2018, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role. In addition to her tenure at CMA, she has served as a freelance English language instructor for six years, showcasing her versatility in the field of education. Armed with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in English, along with a diploma in business law from Taunggyi University, Chue Thet Lae's journey in education and community development commenced in a local youth association called Nump Hkone. Driven by a profound passion for nurturing young minds, she firmly believes in the transformative power of education. Committed to continuous improvement, Chue Thet Lae actively pursues further learning by attending relevant courses, enhancing her ability to contribute meaningfully to her students. Beyond her professional pursuits, she finds joy in spending her spare time indulging in artistic activities such as drawing and crocheting.
Saw Lwin
Saw Lwin, affectionately known as Christopher, has been an integral part of Cherry Myay Academy since 2018, serving as an Organizational Development teacher and Internship Coordinator. Boasting a background in Community Development and Leadership from Level Up Academy – Loikaw, Saw Lwin further enriched his education with studies in Social & Religious Studies in Italy and a short-term training in Social Enterprise at Payap University, Thailand. A graduate of Loikaw University with a specialization in B.A. Economics, Saw Lwin is fueled by a passion to support young individuals striving for positive change within their communities. Beyond his professional endeavors, he finds joy in exploring the beauty of nature and cultural diversities by traveling to diverse and remote communities. Music, photography, and football also play an integral role in his vibrant life.
Khu Lawrence
Meet Khu Lawrence, an English teacher at Cherry Myay Academy, dedicated to helping students excel in their academic studies. Focused on providing essential skills for the two-year program, he specializes in teaching English Grammar, Phonetics, Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Listening. Meet Htet Ye' Marn, a 26-year-old hailing from Loikaw, Kyah State, infusing dynamism into the role of Community Development instructor and Service-Learning Coordinator at Cherry Myay Academy for the past five years. A spirited advocate for personal growth, Htet Ye' Marn embarked on a transformative educational journey with a two-year program at Level Up Academy and a 15-month Diploma Program at Theik Khar Myanmar Institute. Holding a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Loikaw University, he brings a holistic approach to his teachings. Beyond the confines of traditional education, Htet Ye' Marn embraces the thrill of stepping outside his comfort zone, viewing teaching as a platform to share fresh perspectives and insights, fostering an environment that celebrates the richness of diverse thoughts and ideas.
Sai Thein Zaw
Introducing Sai Thein Zaw, an ardent mentor and researcher originating from Shan State, Myanmar, equipped with an undergraduate degree and diplomas in Research Studies, Social Development, and Social Conscience. Having seamlessly transitioned from the role of a social science teacher to a prolific research paper author, Sai Thein Zaw currently serves as a dynamic young researcher and instructor. His fervent passion lies in utilizing research as a catalyst for positive change within his community, consistently seeking innovative solutions for collective welfare.
